Whitehaven

We stayed 3 nights in a really lovely bed and breakfast in Whitehaven which is on the edge of the Lake District.
Whitehaven itself isn't very spectacular but we really need the rest after the hold up in Paris. We did go and see one of the lakes - Wasdale - probably didn't see it at it's best as it was pouring with rain - where is the summer we thought we were coming too??? We've had more wet days than dry.
We went to a nuclear power station called Sellafield - it has a hands on science display similar to Sci-tech, Simon and Hamish liked it.
There are a lot of wind turbines everywhere we go - we have lots of pictures as every time Simon sees one he wants another picture - they all look the same to me!
